Theater under the sky! We may not have any stars here in NYC, but we have plenty of drama.

SPP, the September Play Project is presenting a festival of plays on top of The Delancey!

My contribution is Malone, and the Order of the Bene Gesserit. Home wrecking, control issues, and a rooftop.

It is directed by Judy Merrick, and features Ryan Hyde and Jody Christopherson.

Embrace Pollution! Come up top!

The Delancey is on 168 Delancey Street.

The show goes up September 13th and 14th at 5PM.

The Unboxed Voices 3rd Annual Play Festival

My yearly tradition of acting continues with the Unboxed Voices Third Annual Short Play Series. I’m all up in this, I have a monologue and I’m in a youth written scene! Back up off me, Decaprio.

The youth scene is by writer Danielle Bonet. I haven’t met her, or him, and we haven’t spoken. I guess all I can tell you about Danielle is that he, or she, can’t legally drink yet, and he, or she, wrote this sweet short play, Restaurant. Restaurant is about the night a couple reveals their love for each other.

Restaurant goes up Saturday, July 26th at 3PM and Sunday the 27th at 7PM.

I’m also performing my short story/monologue, Namor. Namor is about duality, and goes up Friday, July 25 at 7:30PM and Sunday, July 27th at 3PM.

(Namor was published in Have A NYC 3 in June, here’s where you can get it:   )

You can buy tickets to the Unboxed Voices 3rd Annual Short Play Festival right here:

Tix are $18, online and at the door.

Probably the last time I’ll do NAMOR for awhile, so I’ll get it in while I can…

“Namor” published by 3 Rooms Press in “Have A NYC 3″

What up?

“What up?!” In some parts of our city, this one of the most common ways to say hi, or “How you doin’”. “How you doin’” is just another way to say “What’s poppin’?” , a variation on “What’s good?” which is another version of….the dance goes on. And that’s just a greeting.

Here in the great experiment called New York City, the diversity of the human experience can come alive before our eyes in a five minute walk, or within a 190 page book!

My short story, Namor, has been published in HAVE A NYC DAY 3, an annual collection of short stories about the greatest city mankind has ever imagined (suck it, Copenhagen). The collection is put out by  3 Rooms Press: .

Below are some of the places it can be purchased. I will also be reading a portion of the story at the book release event, this Friday, June 6th. This is a free event at the Cornelia Street Café starting at 6. More details on the flyer attached.

Please email me if you plan on attending.

 Thanks much.
